Letting Go: Trusting God with Our Worries (1 Peter 5:7)

Worry can feel like a heavy backpack we carry everywhere—sometimes so familiar, we forget what it's like to walk free. But God's invitation is simple and profound: bring your anxieties to Him.

Today, let's explore what it means to trust God with the burdens we were never meant to carry alone.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. — 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

Reflection

Peter's words are a gentle reminder that God's care is not distant or abstract—it's personal and present. To 'cast' our anxieties means to throw them onto God, trusting that He is strong enough to hold what overwhelms us.

We often try to manage our worries on our own, but God invites us to a better way. He cares for every detail of our lives, no matter how small. When we release our anxieties to Him, we make space for His peace to fill our hearts.

What is one worry you're holding onto today? God's love is big enough for all your fears. You don't have to carry them alone.

Today's Action

Write down one anxiety or worry you're facing. In prayer, hand it over to God, asking Him to carry it for you.

Prayer

God, thank You for caring for me. Help me to trust You with my worries and to rest in Your peace.
